Midtec Expands – Adds Additional Outside Salesperson

Andy Hargrove
We are very pleased to announce we’re expanding in response to the business growth we’re experiencing and the additional growth we see on the way. It is our belief a sales representative firm should never wait until its principals suggest hiring an additional salesperson but, instead, be proactive and act on its own. We are doing just that. While the overall available business in our area may or may not be increasing, we continue to obtain a larger share of what business there is for our principals. We wish our business was increasing significantly for each of our principals but differences are to be expected. The business of most of our principals in our territory is up and the trend is “long-term up”. Our additional salesperson will, of course, work on increasing the sales of every Midtec principal but will particularly concentrate on Midtec principals and products where the growth has been below the average of all of our principals. We’re doing this at a time when our territory has experienced the loss of in excess of 70% of the rep firms who were in business here in 1995. All of our people have worked hard and, I’m sure, luck has played a factor. Never turn down “luck” when it comes your way! We’re having our best year ever and 2008 looks like it will be even better.

close to twenty years. We are very careful in adding new members to
our staff and the possibility of Andy joining Midtec has been in the works
for many months. Andy is excited
about this opportunity and considers it to be a long-term career move just
as we do. Andy is a graduate of the
For the last two years,
Andy has been an area manager for a large non-profit organization. While
his vocational background is not specifically in our field, his “people and
management skills and duties” definitely are.
His hobbies include electronics and ham
radio so he has a good head start. Fortunately, he excels in the "people skills"
that are
difficult to teach and hard to learn. He has won many management
and leadership awards and has been ranked number one in his job and
in his organization. We are very fortunate to have Andy joining our team.
